CHEERDANCE
It was coined from the words, CHEER and DANCE
CHEER: To shout out words or phrases that may help
motivate and boost the morale of a playing team and
perform better during a game
DANCE: Physical activity where one expresses
emotions and gestures
Integrate Anatomy and Kinesiology
Cheerleading eventually started in
November 2, 1898 when
cheerleader by the name of Johnny
Campbell
He got so excited that he jumped
out in front of the crowd and
invented cheerleading.
He is an undergraduate of University of
Minnesota. He encouraged the crowd to
chant and yell to encourage their team.

His famous yell is “ RAH, RAH,
RAH!Ski-u-Mah, Hoo-rah
Hoorah!Varsity!Varsity!Varsity,
Minn-e-So-Tah!
Cheerdancing is rooted from cheerleading.
Cheerleading as we all know developed in the United
States of America. But did you know that the
Philippines has had developed Cheerdancing?
Cheerdancing in the Elementary, High School and
College levels has always been the opening salvo for
intramurals in campuses in the Philippines. The
difference between Cheerleading and Cheerdancing
is that cheerleading has its foundation in Gymnastics.
And as for Cheerdance, it's foundation lies in the
Choreography where Ballet seems to be its
foundation.

• Cheer dance music will be played. Together with your
group, think of steps, preferably cheer dance steps
and the movements taught during discussion, and
execute them in accordance with the beat given.
Present your work after class
The performance will be assessed
considering the following criteria:

Creativity 30 points
Energy and Grace 20 points
Teamwork 20 points
TOTAL 100 POINTS
1. Did your heart rate increases after your
practice and performance?
2. Did you have fun while doing the activity?
3. Why is it important to observe safety
measures when dancing cheer dance?
ACTIVITY 7: VIDEO DOCUMENTARY EXHIBITION
Create a video documentary of the conduct of the lessons in
cheerdancing with emphasis on the promotion of a fit and healthy
living.
Group 1 those with knowledge and skills in videography;
Group 2 those with knowledge and skills and video-editing; and
Group 3 those with skills in broadcasting/public speaking.

  • 11. Cheerleading eventually started in November 2, 1898 when cheerleader by the name of Johnny Campbell
  • 12. He got so excited that he jumped out in front of the crowd and invented cheerleading.
  • 13. He is an undergraduate of University of Minnesota. He encouraged the crowd to chant and yell to encourage their team. .
  • 14. His famous yell is “ RAH, RAH, RAH!Ski-u-Mah, Hoo-rah Hoorah!Varsity!Varsity!Varsity, Minn-e-So-Tah!
  • 15. Cheerdancing is rooted from cheerleading. Cheerleading as we all know developed in the United States of America. But did you know that the Philippines has had developed Cheerdancing?
  • 16. Cheerdancing in the Elementary, High School and College levels has always been the opening salvo for intramurals in campuses in the Philippines. The difference between Cheerleading and Cheerdancing is that cheerleading has its foundation in Gymnastics. And as for Cheerdance, it's foundation lies in the Choreography where Ballet seems to be its foundation.

Group 1 those with knowledge and skills in videography; Group 2 those with knowledge and skills and video-editing; and Group 3 those with skills in broadcasting/public speaking.
