4. Santhosh lost his mother when he was 3 months old and his father too
passed away in another 3 months. By the time he was 6 months old he
lost both his parents. Since then Gurunathan (his grandfather) and
Vasantha (his grandmother takes care of him. Gurunathan is a daily wage
labour.

Except for a small piece of
agricultural land
Gurunathan & Vasantha
own nothing. The whole of
village gave up hope onvillage gave up hope on
this family after their hut
got washed away in the
recent floods

With the help of AID India they now have a home
and are confident of bringing up Santhosh.

7. Eureka Homes Project
Santhosh is very excited about his new home. He
is in 9th Standard now and is happy to have a firm
roof above his head.
