In addition to their percentage, managers should not have to cover any expenses out of their own pocket . Booking Agents: follow the most common arrangement between a band and an agent and earn between 15% and 20% of the money paid to a band for a gig. Promoters: make a deal with you for profits from the show. You will likely have either a set amount that you will be paid, no matter how many people turn up, or a "door split" agreement contingent upon the scale of the event.
