a wonderful public demonstration of making the
most out of life, no matter what age you are
thinking about the capabilities of older people
every BlueCross client is invited to attend
last year’s event over 500 people attended

routines and the winner announced on the day
there is loads of laughter, tonnes of singing, dancing
competitions

Now embedded in the culture with staff and residents looking forward to each year’s event It is not a tea party, it is an EVENT that involves the whole organisation SHOW 3 minute Celebration of Nations DVD This event is a journey Responsive to what the staff and clients want to do, run by a committee Then they create it (costumes, dance routine) Then they deliver it (performance on the day, coming together for a party) Then they re-live it for the rest of the year until next time (DVD, conversations, dancing lessons now at The Boulevard as a consequence)

Pulling off an extravaganza is not for the faint hearted! But it is so worth it! All sites start their planning in February Staff and residents work together, creating costumes, table displays They create a dance routine which provides a regular physical activity
