Changing the face of aged care each residence is provided with a theme they create their costumes and dancing (or wheelchair!) routines and the winner announced on the day there is loads of laughter, tonnes of singing, dancing competitions it’s about making their day and having fun! The 97th + Birthday Party Changing the face of aged care who needs to wait until the rounded off 100 to enjoy some attention, delicious birthday cake and a bit of fun! celebrate ‘ageing positively’ , celebrating life evidence of providing aged care that keeps our elderly citizens active and enjoying life, over 40 people at one event

Now embedded in the culture with staff and residents looking forward to each year’s event It is not a tea party, it is an EVENT that involves the whole organisation SHOW 3 minute Celebration of Nations DVD This event is a journey Responsive to what the staff and clients want to do, run by a committee Then they create it (costumes, dance routine) Then they deliver it (performance on the day, coming together for a party) Then they re-live it for the rest of the year until next time (DVD, conversations, dancing lessons now at The Boulevard as a consequence)

- Pulling off an extravaganza is not for the faint hearted! But it is so worth it! All sites start their planning in February Staff and residents work together, creating costumes, table displays They create a dance routine which provides a regular physical activity
