3. The planet has five oceans: Arctic,
Atlantic, Pacific, Indian , Antarctic .

4. Temperature: Marine organisms are adapted
to live in specific temperature ranges, as
temperature has direct effects on
physiological processes.
Water temperatures in the upper 2,300 feet
of the oceans, where the vast majority of
marine life lives, have increased an average
of about one degree Fahrenheit over the past
century

5. Some habitats: beaches, coral reefs,
estuaries, kelp, seagrras

6.  Kelp: Kelp grows in cold coastal waters.
 Seaweed :Seaweed is a form of microscopic
 Seagrass: Seagrass grows in shallow water because it needs
lots of sunlight
 Red Algae : Red algae grows in warm tropical water.
 Coral and Algae : Coral is not a plant; it is an animal
organism
 Coralline Algae:Coralline algae consists of very fine
filaments that grow over rocks.

 Carnivore: shark, killer whale, white shark,
piranha/hoarder, penguin.
 Herbivore: clenear fish.
