All the endless crunches that you're doing are useless without performing compound movements.
Compound movements are movements that work more than one muscle groups. I'm talking about
exercises such as the deadlift, front squat, and pushups.

You see, the goal of your abs and core region is not to curl up (the way you do in chinups and
situps). Instead, the goal is to stablize your body when performing daily activities. This is why
pushups, pullups, and bent over rows do more to engage your abdominals than endless crunches.

Lose Fat with Interval Cardio

In addition to these compound movements, you should perform high intensity interval cardio.
Interval cardio is where you perform an exercises for a short period of time, followed by a short
period of rest. My favorite interval workout is to perform 30 seconds of jump roping followed by 30
seconds of rest.

I don't really like to call this kind of training "cardio." Every time someone says cardio, I think about
boring steady state cardio on a treadmill or exercises bike. Steady state cardio does burn calories,
but does not help you boost your metabolic rate the way interval cardio does.

Your metabolism is the rate at which your body burns calories. Hence, the key to fat loss is to
raise your metabolic rate. This is why you see a lot of lean people are able to maintain their
physique despite eating a lot of food. They metabolic rates are extremely fast.

As you can see, people are going about fat loss in a completely wrong way. The key is to combine
interval cardio with high intensity compound movements to burn fat, and build lean muscle mass.
This is the only way you will ever see your six pack abs.
