growing
The main source of raw materials
of the factory are artificial
wood, iron box and pipes, foam
and color are very close to the
factory
Scope of further expansion as
well as vertical expansion due
to land price rises.
13. Problems encountered
Majority raw materials are imported;
not easy to get
Frequently disrupting electricity
Few sophisticated machineries needs
to be required from Bangshal; so
this becomes difficult in sometimes
Few raw materials like handle, push
lock etc. are needed to be purchased
from Karwan Bazar or Gulshan and
that’s also a difficult part
Poor road condition make it very
expensive to send products from
Dhaka to Chattogram port
14. Furniture industry started as
cottage based industry
Now, exporting to US and EU
This industry needs
concentration and care by the
Government
Conclusion
15. Recommendations
To improve the quality of workers there
should be a provision of training
To avoid the sudden crush of any
machinery there should be alternative
method of operation and quick repair of
the machinery
To improve the quality of production few
more machineries should be installed
To prevent frequent load shedding, HATIL
may installed a small scaled power
generation unit
