Therefore this ppt presents how somebody like Ms. Laura Von Rosk had to cope with such changes as moving to Antarctica. 6. POLAR CLOTHING: to work effectively
it must: allow perspiration to disperse
allow free movement
be comfortable whatever the weather
keep the body warm, especially fingers and toes
THE LAYER METHOD: the best way of achieving
these needs.
 Several layers of lightweight clothes are better than
one or two layers of thick, heavy clothes.
 The layers allow good ventilation, and the trapped air
acts as good insulation against the cold.






