2. Premiere
• In my previous projects outside and inside of school I
have manly used final cut, Vegas pro and a small
dabble in Premier in order to create videos
• This project we used Premier Pro to create our project
• With previous experience of this type of text I was able
to adapt well to its features such as cutting, transitions,
colour correction and key framing.
• I also used Premier to cut and edit the music so that it
linked in time with the track, using the idea of parallel
sound
3. Sound
• The sound recording was edited in Garage
band and went on to become the voices overs
for the initial badly recorded camera sound as
we didn’t have a boom mic and the wind
interfered a lot. These voice overs were then
exported and imported into the project file
4. Survey Monkey
• Survey Monkey was mine and Ben’s choice
when we created 10 questions for response
on the Sight and Sound cover
• This allowed us to send off however many
emails I wanted to individuals for a response.
• All the information was collected and it
allowed us to change the text how the
audience wanted it
5. DSLR
• A digital single-lens reflex camera (also called a digital SLR or DSLR) is a
digital camera combining the optics and the mechanisms of a single-lens
reflex camera with a digital imaging sensor, as opposed to photographic
film.
• We used the DSLR like we did for our last project but as opposed to using
the settings on auto, we were taught by our technician and teacher on how
to use it on manual.
• This helped us to one take the two photos for the front covers and also
allowed us to film in tricky situations, such as the dark and maybe too much
light.
• This was adjusted by the aperture, IPO and the shutter speed along with a
few in camera settings but those are the main focus for adjustment.
6. Open Broadcasting Software
• In order to complete my evaluations I used a
programme called OBS, this allowed me to
film my monitor in HD so that I could carry out
my evaluation instead of just writing a lump of
text.
7. Tripod
• In previous times of using the DSLR
we as a group used in ‘handy cam’
mode which meant the image
stability was off and many shots
looked bad
• This time however we had brand
new tripods in which we used to get
the best possible shots which didn’t
sway and allowed us to have, pans
horizontally and vertically.
