Music never really bothered me that much when I was younger, because it was just something which was always playing in the background. But as I grew older, music began to play a bigger part in my life, as it got more involved with my culture. When it was the last few years of my primary school, my head teacher told me I was good at music, and so I started playing the trumpet. Although the path was a bit rough to begin with, and I wanted to give up, my head teacher made me determined to carry on. Playing the trumpet influenced me to start teaching myself to play other instruments like guitar, drums and also bass. The more confident I got in playing, the better I got at playing, and music became part of my life.
