1. The American Board of Radiology is looking for a full time Co-Director for our
Certification Services Department. This position will serve as a co-director in
coordination and facilitation of all aspects related to the ABR’s Certification Services
Division (CSD), which includes the Candidate/Diplomate Services, Exam Delivery and
Exam Development units.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities Include:
Support and facilitate the delivery of the certification process for ABR candidates and
diplomates
Work with members of the Board of Trustees and senior ABR staff to create, revise and
implement Initial Certification (IC) & Maintenance of Certification (MOC) policy
Manage, lead and mentor CSD staff
Plan and manage communications with IC and MOC candidates and diplomates
Establish and nurture productive relationships and collaborations with staff of external
stakeholder organizations (i.e. radiological societies, American Board of Medical
Specialties (ABMS), other ABMS Member Boards, healthcare institutions, practice
groups, multi-organizational task forces and committees, regulatory authorities, health
plans, and others).
Ensure the quality and timeliness of CSD program and project deliverables.
Work with fellow co-director to manage and direct priorities of CSD
Coordinate, with ABR Trustees and leadership, CSD priorities
Contribute to ABR Staff Leadership Team
Accomplishment of the above will require:
creating, revising and implementing IC and MOC program policy
supporting efforts of ABR Trustees and volunteers who are responsible for all IC and
MOC programs with appropriate and timely provision of data and interpretations
coordinating effectively with internal staff in the Board Affairs, Finance, Information
Technology, and Standards divisions to maximize the effectiveness and efficiency of
overlapping aspects above
providing support for motivational communications to IC and MOC candidates and
diplomates regarding certification requirements and other program opportunities
collaborating and coordinating with ABR board of trustees and other volunteers
Qualifications
Master’s degree in business administration, non-profit administration, health policy or
appropriate other equivalent experience
Program or project coordination experience
Well-developed organizational skills
Exceptional written and verbal communication skills
Extensive experience with Microsoft Windows and Microsoft Office
Substantial supervisory experience
