Bachelor of Science in Chemistry (with emphasis on Physical Chemistry) by the National University of Panama (1979); Specialist (1981), Master (1984) and PhD (1993) in geophysics from the Federal University of Pará. He worked in a private company (LORENZETTI, 1987), a state-owned company (IDAAN, 1985-1986), and has 26 years of experience lecturing in 7 different universities (three in Panama - UPA, UNICHI and CRUA - and 4 in Brazil - UFPA, UENF, UCL and UFOP).
