4. The causes of acute shortage of electricity in
Pakistan are:
 Lack of Energy Conservation Program
 Circular dept
 Shortage in river waters
 Fewer dams
 Power theft
 Cost of Fuel
 Incomplete projects

5.  Electricitycrises badly effect education

6.  First of all government should remove corruption,
inefficiency and mismanagement from WAPDA
 The government should build up a stringent framework
to purchase cheap electricity from China and Iran.
 KESC, LESCO and PEPCO’s performance should be
regularly monitored by the government to eliminate any
loopholes in its effective functioning.
 Power should be generated from solar energy, nuclear
energy, wind turbines and water turbines.

7.  Pakistan has the resources to meet its
growing energy requirements.
 The challenge lies in making these options
commercially, economically and politically
feasible.
