3. Introduction
• Now a days Street Light are major important aspects required in
today's life for safety purposes.
• The Street Light is one of largest energy expenses for a city. With an
intelligent Street Light system it can cut municipal Street Lighting by
50% to 70%.
• Most of the controlling are manual, where as some are automated
based on environment parameter.

4. Literature Survey
1.Vehicle Movement using Street Light detection- April 2018
In this paper they have used raspberry Pi board which
provide different intensity at different situation for energy
saving.
2. Smart Street Light based on Arduino- March 2020
In this paper they are used Arduino UNO microcontroller
which act an interface while converting the analog form of
input into an digital form and make the LED to glow.

5. 3.Smart Street Light system for energy conservation and
emergency rescue- April 2020
In this paper they have designed a system to prevent wastage
of power and to provide emergency help and rescue for which
they have used the two button which when pressed sends the
notification to near by police station.
4.IoT based smart Street Light system- June 2021
In this paper they are used LDR which act as uncomplicated
Light/Dark activity switch and contains the relay at the output.
Where Microcontroller after reading the LDR value glows the
Street Light based on defined condition.

6. Working Principle
• Node MCU act as both microcontroller as well as wi-fi module.
• Microcontroller perform ALU operation and data sensed from sensor
will be send to the thingspeak to monitor the data.
• We are used IR sensor for detection of object which turn ON the
Street light if any object is detected and will be OFF if there is no
object.
• Here we are using an LDR sensor for sensing the daytime and
nighttime.
