Who is the target audience for thriller films?
In general, a thriller film doesn’t have a direct audience but more likely a diverse audience because there are many sub-genres. Urban thriller film such as “Attack the block” is
specifically targeted at young teenagers who relate to the character in the film or live in the same environment. Meanwhile, since horror film such as “Sinister” are targeted clearly at
people who are old enough to see it but is probably younger and more female based. Also the age of the characters can attract an audience.

Who is your target audience in you film trailer?
The target audience I have chosen for this film trailer is 15 and onwards, this is because the audience will encounter violent scenes and strong language which is only appropriate for
teenagers. I also believe that if showing the trailer to anyone young then a teenager might not appeal as much because there isn’t an actor in which perform in my trailer that is
younger than an average aged teenager.
