culpable victims as they engage in using the internet to better their social interactions. The
improvement of Internet infrastructure has resulted in more time and space spent on the platform,
unlike the past generation that had the telegraph. The reasons for more time and space spent on
new communication and electricity technology the internet are the user-friendly features that it
offers in preference to telegraph. The fact that the internet can provide audio and video
communication features proves to be the catalyst for more time and space spent on it.
The psychological effects of the internet that it causes to the uses are a lack of adequate sleep
which results in disruption of the sleep pattern. It is because of the internet addiction that they
take much of their time that they are supposed to rest in using it. Most of the internet users spend

Genevieve Marie Johnson. (2010). Internet Use and Child Development: Validation of the
Ecological Techno-subsystem. Journal of Educational Technology & Society. 176- 185.
The article tackles child development under the influence of the internet. The child under the
development of internet would always be on the verge of getting any information or
mathematical problems solved via the internet. It is because the internet provides any
information that one requires but it takes the capability of the user to establish the credibility of
the information accessed. The child mind would develop into more testing credibility other than
the ability to reason out by them. The child mental ability is slowed down and dependent on the
external sources to provide answers and solutions. It is a major problem that would affect the
child mental growth and regarding academics,’ it becomes a grave concern for the parents and
guardians. The other scenario where the child is affected is the development and growth as the
child has no time to play. It is because of the internet nature of addiction. The child is at the risk
of illness such obesity due to lack of enough physical exercises to keep the muscles fit.
Gibson, R. K., and I. Mcallister. (2014). New Media, Elections and the Political Knowledge Gap

contribution to information gap in Australia. The contributing factor towards this disadvantage in
Australia is because information feeders to the internet in most cases have presented related to
the previous one done. It possesses a challenge to fill the gap as the same ideology captured and
no unique angle to fill the gap. The confidence of taking the responsibility to present unique
