2. Difficulties
• We changed some of our original prop decisions due
to them not being needed. We also introduced new
props from which we needed whilst filming.
• Most of these decisions were made due to us going
on set and noticing that our props didn’t quite work
as well as we’d hoped.
How did we overcome this?
We overcome these difficulties by coming up with new ideas or
getting rid of the old ideas. This is how we introduced the props
used in our ancilliary work.
3. Changes
Why? How?
We decided to introduce the props We each filmed our products by
used in all of our ancilliary either panning or zooming around
products – white masks, voodoo it.
doll and “welcome to Woodwich” We then used post-production to
sign. add a “negative” effect to them
This helped us introduce cross with the use of jump cuts to make
media promotion. It also helped us it look like it was flashing.
create a running motif so that our
trailer could become more horrific This made the props stand out and
in its image. made the trailer look
conventionally horrific.
4. What worked well?
• I feel that the use of the car worked well in
creating a manic crash scene. It was hard to do
this as we couldn’t seriously crash the car.
Although some of the reaction shots didn’t work,
the moving shots of the car look quite
professional.
• I also like the use of cult like props such as the
crucifix and the voodoo doll as part of the
running motif. I feel that with the post-
production these props could create a very visual
and accurate image.
