The document summarizes a user's experience testing Microsoft Loop. It notes that while Loop works well for gathering ideas in meetings and files can be found via Teams search, the chat moves quickly in Loop which can make following conversations difficult. Additionally, pinned items and tabs are not ideal in Loop's current format and there is no dark mode option for the web view. Meeting chat can display Loops but the Loop view is not retained in channel meeting chat histories.

The scene
Team meeting
New person shares their love of karaoke
Team reflects on the desire for Karaoke
Someone pops a Loop list into the chat to collect Karaoke songs
Fast forward, Darrell asks if anyone has interesting uses of Loop.
I remember the Karaoke use case and go looking to grab some screenshots
There we are in the meeting and the Loop is dropped.
At this point maybe there should be a record scratch.
This is not the Loop from the story, one for example.
It was great having the Loop, but as soon as the conversation has moved along the Loop disappears.
Pinning is not a great experience.
I search Teams hoping to get the chat, but I get the .fluid file.
Not what I expected but a pleasant surprise.
I can get to the Loop file, great.
But I do notice that the web view of Loop is not in dark mode even though I’m set for that.
Annoying.
But I actually wanted to see what it looks like in chat to take a screenshot.
But where is the Loop in chat
I remember that it’s a channel meeting.
So I find it in channel and scroll through the many messages
To discover that the Loop Component is reduced to a link, because it’s a conversation now and not in chat.
