• Opens with a clear establishing shot of a
grand mansion
• Mid/Medium shots are the most frequent
throughout
• Low angle to show straight away that Taylor
is superior
• Two shots are very common to show the
interaction with the male character and put
the whole video into context
• Tracking shots to keep the movement flowing
throughout, showing progression of both
characters and their journey
• Hand held camera begins to be used once
the two have an argument. This conveys
frustration, anger and an increase in pace
• Reaction shots to help convey the narrative,
as she is a psychotic lover who’s mood
changes like the weather.

• Location = grand mansion filled with paintings
and high ceilings, gold colours, and acres of land
• Ambient lighting to convey the mysterious tone to
the character
• Her outfits change colour according to her
intentions, for example at the beginning she is
wearing black and then it graduates to white
once she has managed to get her man
• The incorporation of the unicorn symbolises that
something within their scenario isn't real, its
becoming too good to be true, and too much of a
fantasy. Hence why she finally breaks down and
reveals her concealed psychotic personality
• Her vintage style clothes could mean that her
mind lives in the past and likes to replay perfect
events, and how things must go a certain way.
This theory is also shown by an almost identical
man showing up at her door and her greeting
him in exactly the same way as she did the last.
5. E D I T
• All of the transitions were straight cuts or
jump cuts
• Every cut was on the beat of the soundtrack
• They used VFX to superimpose the golf club
‘damaging’ the expensive car to add extra
effect and dramatise the climactic scenes
• Shot Reverse Shots were common to show
the reactions between what he has just done
and how she felt about it, putting us in her
shoes to sympathise as we react with her
• Match on action helps keep the fluidity and
pace of the over all music video, and helps
get closer in on the action to give it a greater
impact
• The Soundtrack was the only sound present
