2. Hi There! Let's meet Kathy.
I'm a wife, a mom, a teacher.
I'm from Zebulon,
That's in Pike County, Georgia.

3. I've taught for the last eleven years
EIP, third, fourth and fifth.

4. Now I'm changing jobs
I'm so excited to move on
So much to learn
I'm glad to meet you all!

5. As you can see, I like to enjoy
my work. On a more serious
note…

6. I have a wonderful husband of 25 years,
Tim, and two beautiful daughters. My
oldest daughter, Jessica, will be attending
Georgia College this year. My younger
daughter, Jennifer, will be attending Georgia
Southern.
I have been blessed with the chance to
become the media specialist for our
elementary school and I am so excited
about this new opportunity.

7. I have taught self-contained and resource
classes for third, fourth, and fifth grades.
Most of my teaching has involved EIP (early
intervention program) students.
I have been responsible for helping to
develop our school’s EIP and RTI (response
to intervention) programs.

8. One of the accomplishments I am most
proud of is being a member of the first
Leadership Academy class for our
district. This was a two year program
designed to develop leadership
candidates within our system.

9. Pike County Leadership Academy
This is me with my classmates at our celebration dinner.

10. I have a Master’s Degree in Early
Childhood Education from Georgia
Southwestern and a Master’s Degree in
Leadership from Georgia College and
State University.

11. I look forward to getting to know
each of you and developing
professional relationships that will
be a source of support and
encouragement.
