Purpose of the survey
The primary purpose of this survey was to explore the Swiss
Group of International Schools' (SGIS) academic integrity policy
and to what extent participant schools have implemented IA
policy in their context. The subsequent objectives were to know:
• Librarians involvement with AI
• Librarians AI teaching/coaching opportunity
• Teachers and students awareness of school AI policy
• Librarians preferred tools for teaching AI and related issues
• AI implementation challenges faced by librarians
Summary of the survey
 Most of the SGIS have AI policy in place
 School AI policy and procedure literacy is very low among students (25%)
and teachers (15%)
 Program coordinators mostly lead/manage AI related docs
 Only 29% of SGIS librarians have fixed lesson for coaching AI and related
issues
 Classroom access/co-teach is very limited for librarians
 Teachers sometimes/rarely send students to librarians for AI support
 Over 60% schools have AI Libguide/webpage
 Most of the schools and librarians are in favour of using MLA
 NoodleTools is the most preferred tools among SGIS librarians
 Lack of time and support from colleagues/admin identified as major
challenges

 10 (47.6%)@ MLIS degree
 2 (9.5%) @ BLIS
 9 (43.2%)@ doesn’t have any LIS degree, diploma or certificate

Academic Integrity Policy at Swiss Group of International Schools

  • 2. Purpose of the survey The primary purpose of this survey was to explore the Swiss Group of International Schools' (SGIS) academic integrity policy and to what extent participant schools have implemented IA policy in their context. The subsequent objectives were to know: • Librarians involvement with AI • Librarians AI teaching/coaching opportunity • Teachers and students awareness of school AI policy • Librarians preferred tools for teaching AI and related issues • AI implementation challenges faced by librarians
  • 3. Summary of the survey  Most of the SGIS have AI policy in place  School AI policy and procedure literacy is very low among students (25%) and teachers (15%)  Program coordinators mostly lead/manage AI related docs  Only 29% of SGIS librarians have fixed lesson for coaching AI and related issues  Classroom access/co-teach is very limited for librarians  Teachers sometimes/rarely send students to librarians for AI support  Over 60% schools have AI Libguide/webpage  Most of the schools and librarians are in favour of using MLA  NoodleTools is the most preferred tools among SGIS librarians  Lack of time and support from colleagues/admin identified as major challenges
