The 3-week training programme has four main objectives: to improve teaching and learning, familiarize teachers with a new lesson plan format, build teacher confidence, and help teachers improve work-life balance. During the first week, teachers will do a normal lesson that is observed so their strengths and weaknesses can be analyzed to create personalized action plans. The second week involves getting feedback, co-planning lessons, and more observations. In the third week, teachers plan and teach their own lessons while practicing delivery, and their lessons are observed, recorded, and graded with final feedback.
2. Objectives
1. To improve teaching and learning
2. To allow teachers to get familiar with the new lesson plan
format
3. To build teacher confidence
4. To help teachers improve their work-life balance.
3. Week 1
Teachers will be expected to perform a lesson as normal.
This lesson will be observed from which I will analyse their
strengths and weaknesses.
I will then formulate a personalised action plan for each teacher.
These teachers will then be asked to observe me during the week.
4. Week 2
Teachers will get feedback on their previous lesson.
Teachers and I will plan this week’s lessons together and practice
on lesson delivery.
They will be re-observed.
Feedback for this lesson will also be given.
5. Week 3
Teachers will perform solely on their own.
They are not allowed to liaise with me for any ideas for lesson
structure/design.
They will be allowed to practice delivery of lesson with me and any
other teaching traits (for example, voice projection or behaviour
management skills.)
The lesson will be observed, recorded and graded.
Their final mark and feedback will be given and we will watch the
video together.
