The document introduces several mobile video making and editing tools, including Animoto, Viva Video, PowToon, Wideo, and WeVideo. These apps can be used on mobile devices like smartphones and tablets to create and edit video assignments that students can then share. The document also asks for recommendations of screen recording apps for Android, as the author had trouble finding a free option that did not require rooting her device.
2. Video Making and Editing Tools for
Mobile
Hi Everyone,
Personally, I find mobiles useful devices for our classroom’s educational purposes. We
can assign our students to record their assignments in audio/video conversation form,
group discussion, as clip or video, etc., which can be performed and shared via
smartphones which are almost available among students.
That’s why I’ve got encouraged to be more familiar with these apps so that I can
assign group or team works which can be produced and shared via mobile or tablets
(Usually one smartphone is easily available in each group of three to five students
As you know, some mobiles have video making and editing app by default, and there
are a variety of these tools available online. The problem is that many of them offer
you to be a premium user, some are not available in your area, and some require you
to root your Android or jailbreak your iOS which put your system at risk.
Thus, from among the available apps I found safe and handy, in this presentation I
introduce a few tools and apps for video making and editing used on mobiles.
I hope you find the useful and share the related apps you already use with me.
3. Mobile Animoto For PC, Android, and iOS
I simply logged in with my PC ID and made family videos and shared with
people. It is very similar to what you do on PC.
4. Viva Video For Android and iOS
You can capture movies and edit them, you can simply choose photos and make a
clip with the themes and music it offers, etc. I have tried it, it’s so handy.
More options require to be premium user.
The only point is that I couldn’t find options for sharing URL or embed code; you
should share the file through email, Viber, Facebook or other social networks.
5. PowToon For PC, Android, and iOS
It’s another video making tool which I found very handy. This app
provides you with many options for making your clip.
6. Wideo, For PC, Android, and iOS
It’s another video making tool that can run on your PC or devices
operating either on Android or iOS
7. WeVideo For PC, Android, and iOS
This apps Let’s you register for different purposes like education and teaching,
business, etc. I could run it on PC. It is magnificent. However, I faced difficulty
while registration on its Android version. I should try it again.
8. BTW, do you use any screen recorder for
Android?
I searched for it and tried to run many Android screener to share this
experience from my mobile. The problem was, from among the free and
available apps, many required me to root my system, which is not advisable,
and the rest of them wouldn’t open on my device. As you see, I only used a
few screen shots from my mobile. For screen recording, I will try again and
come back to you with my screen records from my cellphone. Soon
THANK YOU
