For over 40 years, our Craft Design Studio
has seen hundreds of artists hone their
skills through its Artist-in-Residence
program. Walk through our corridors and
watch artists working in textiles, glass,
metal and ceramics in a fully equipped
facility. Every Sunday afternoon from
2–4pm, May 22 to October 29, volunteers
will be on-site to answer your questions.

This summer at The Power Plant, step
into interactive worlds created by three
contemporary visual artists working with
sculpture, stage-set and performance.
Call to Action
Franz Erhard Walther’s first major solo
exhibition in Canada brings together a
body of work made between the 1950s
and the present, and includes sculptures,
drawings and videos. At the core of
the exhibition is an interest in Walther’s
radical consideration of the relationship
between the object, the space and the
human body.

Ulla von Brandenburg’s first solo
exhibition in Canada explores states of
unconsciousness and the boundaries
between past and present, reality
and illusion, and the sacred and the
secular. It features a new film shot in the
Théâtre des Amandiers, France, and a
site-specific installation.

Emily Mast’s multi-compositional project
is comprised of two gallery exhibitions,
a billboard, a performance at the
Blackwood Gallery, and an evening-
length performance that premieres
onstage at Harbourfront Centre Theatre.

Our fleet of sail and powerboats is in
great shape and has all the required
safety equipment. We rent bareboat to
members of the public with recognized
credentials, training provided by our staff
or equivalent boating experience. For those
without experience, we can provide an
instructor to sail or drive the boat for you.

This summer, weekends at Harbourfront Centre start Wednesdays –
beginning with our Free Flicks, followed by Dancing on the Pier on Thursday
evenings, and culminating in great live music concerts on Friday and
Saturday nights. This gives Toronto something to count on every week,
all summer long, and almost always free of charge.
We invite you to explore your waterfront, enjoy our festivals, and relax with
great views and great food. With music, lakeside activities, Boxcar Social
and their new patio, The Slip, there are plenty of perfect places to soak up
the sun at Harbourfront Centre, Toronto’s cottage on Lake Ontario.
