4. Team Dynamics
• If you plan an effective teambuilding event, you should
understand the 3 phases in Team Dynamcis:
• Feel as a team: most companies tend to forget this important aspect.
If people don’t feel emotionally connected, they will never perform as a
team.
• Act as a team: to act as a team, teammembers need specific skills
like leadership, delegation, organisation, negotiation,...
• Perform as a team: to realy achieve expected results, teams need to
focus on clear objectives and have to keep constraints into account.
• The Hercules Trophy has a strong focus on Feel as a team. We
create a platform where people can connect easily on an
emotional level.

11. The Hercules Labours
• Just like ancient Hercules, teams have to perform 12 labours
• A few weeks before the start, we communicate our final choice of labours and the
official teamplannings through the website
• Every year we come up with at least 6 new labours compared to last year
• Teams decide on which labour they will put their joker
• Upon arrival in the morning, captains receive a personallised package for their
team with all the official documents
• One labour = 15 minutes, followed by a 15 minute break (20 minutes in Spain )
• Our happy crew, supported by an IT-system fully integrated with the website,
keep track of the scores
