Steps involves:
• Creation/configuration / mapping of schemes on PFMS
• Registration of programme implementing agencies (PIAs)
• Use of expenditure advance, transfer (EAT) module by PIAs
Benefits of PFMS:
• End-to-end e-payment solution
• Real-time tracking of money
• Identification of idle money, parked in agency accounts
• Reduce fiscal deficit
• Reduce borrowing cost for govt.
• DSS (Analytics, BI)
5. • Facilitates capturing the use/flow of funds.
• Facilitates e-payments of the day-to-day expenditure of a PIA using PFMS.
• All three components i.e. Expenditure, Advance & Transfer module are
captured.

6. BENEFITS TO STATE GOVERNMENTS
• Provides details of all grants received by the state from different Central Ministries
under different schemes.
• Provides details of grants received through the treasury transfers, special purpose
vehicles, societies, autonomous bodies, NGO's and individuals registered in the
State.
• Provides detail of grants directly received by a particular district, district societies,
autonomous bodies & NGOs located in the district.
• Information on component-wise MIS on the releases made by state/district/block
level implementing agencies.
• Information on component-wise expenditure incurred at various level of
implementation on a real time basis.
