Project Objective
Nordstrom Inc.’s vision is “The Best Customer Experience (In Store/Web)”. This can be achieved
only be fulfilling customer needs in a best possible way.
It is one of the top fashion retailers in US market. It has more than 320 stores in various locations of
U.S and Canada. I deal with the retailer’s Enterprise Information.

3. Project Description
The client’s Enterprise information is handled which includes customer information, merchandising,
store and finance information. Earlier I was part of Store Book of Works track which handles client’s sales,
orders and store information. One of the biggest milestones in the track was Text-To-Style Salesperson to
Customer Texting (SCT) Proposal Vs Sales – Analytical reporting which I was working single handedly.
It also included other report generations like Selling cost reporting, charge send returns, Sales
person floor coverage reporting. It involves building data views to the reporting tools such as Microstrategy,
Tableau to do user specific reporting.
SQL queries were performance tuned to return search results in very less time. Designed an
automated way of data extraction out of DW system by adhering to PII and PCI guidelines.
Lately I was into operation support and in dashboard development as a part of Dev-Ops model.
Operation support includes problem management, incident management and meeting the timely SLAs and
OLAs.
My roles include:
 Requirement gathering and Impact analysis for a product
 Involved in designing phase and Building complex queries/procedures using Wherescape RED
 Transforming data using fastloading, data processing from staging layer to access layer and report
generation using fastexport
 Designing an automated way of data extraction out of DW system by adhering to PII and PCI guidelines.
 Provide data views to the reporting tools such as Microstrategy, Tableau to do reporting. Performing
data Extraction, Transformation and Load of data functions
 Performance tuning of SQL queries.
 Performing Unit testing and backup support for system testing
 Product migration with necessary components and Implementation support
 Production support for fixing aborts and meeting service level agreements.
 Analyzing and Handling events like Anniversary sales, holidays events for smooth run
 Handling incident management and problem management.
