3. What is burnout?
Burnout: extreme fatigue, manifested physically, emotionally
& spiritually

4. Symptoms:
ï Extreme tiredness
ï Poor attention
ï An increase in TV, junk food, alcohol etc.
ï Closing down
ï An increase in physical problems
5. Burnout/Adrenal Burnout:
ï Adrenal glands secrete stress hormones
(eg. adrenaline) to prepare body for acute
emotional & physical stress
ï When you keep pushing yourself, adrenal glands
will fatigue & wonât be able to produce enough
adrenaline
ï Adrenal fatigue causes fatigue, cravings, weight gain,
mood swings & other health problems

ï The immune systemâs capacity to deal with
cancerous cells is thought to rely on
Natural Killer cells (the thugs of the immune system)
ï The level of these Natural Killer cells
has been found to be low in those under
acute psychological stress
ï Finding ways to express & deal with stress is
