6. The oocytes or OPU technique involves
transvaginal recovery of the oocytes by
aspiration of the ovarian follicles with the
aid of an ultrasound probe fixed in a guide.

Wide angle endocavity transducer
The new wide angle endocavity transducer
offers the diagnosis of a wide range of
diseases in gynecology examinations and
Ovum Pick-Up procedures.
Why OPU and Why S6 Touch GPS?
In farm the technique is used to increase
the descent of selected donors for their
genetic genes. The recovered oocytes of
the donor cow are selected in the
laboratory then fertilized in vitro with the
semen of chosen bull. After maturation
they are transferred into recipient cows or
frozen and transfer later on.
BMV developed a special OPU guide and
the image resolution of the allows to
collect 2mm follicles and therefore to
aspirate up to 30 follicles or more on the
same cow.
