RESPONSIBILITIES
1. Supervising, assigning and coaching all reporters and correspondents
2. Controlling all invitations of coverage both at BH and Bureaus
3. Copy tasting all stories before delivering them to the sub-editor on duty
4. Liaising on daily basis with bureaus on the day’s dairy
5. Pushing and ensuring reporters and bureau chiefs respect deadlines set for all
bulletins
6. Producing bulletins in emergency times
7. Producing and editing current affairs programs and other special productions
8. Producing monthly performance reports for each reporter
9. Choosing lead stories in liaison with editors and sub-editors on duty
10. Producing weekend roster for BH and regions
11. Cultivating and maintain news sources
12. Performing any other assignments as delegated by seniors
13. Gathering and writing news – this involves the day to day work such as researching
on stories, investigating and interviewing news sources.
