You may have read some of the articles I’ve written on workbloom or on the motivational web site that I run called Winning strategies. I’m still flying on an emotional high from receiving a Dallas Business Journal Women in Business Award as one of the top 25 women To watch in Dallas….Today I hope to give you some fuel to inspire your own flight.
I learned from the school of hard knocks. Isn’t it frustrating when you think you are doing EVERYTHING right but the results aren’t WHAT you DESIRE or EXPECT? It took me years of disappointments to find solutions that got me where I wanted to go. I will share pieces of that wisdom with you today in hopes that some of that knowledge will help you go farther and faster in your mission to improve your satisfaction, contentment and pay at work. I was widowed at a young age. I was thrust into single parenthood with kids to raise and not enough money to go around. To make matters worse, I was living in California, one of the highest cost of living areas in the nation. I didn’t make enough to pay my bills, and my paycheck left me with 20 dollars a week for food for me and my children. I slowly learned the secrets of moving up the Ladder (the hard way).
You influence what other people are thinking about your capabilities.
Veer towards jobs and assignments that are centered around what you are good at.
You influence what other people are thinking about your capabilities.
(It works just like the goals you’ve set to attain your college education and your position at work) Now you will work to attain goals in the left behind areas of your life
