I would make a trailer for a documentary filmabout Monty Oum, an animator and
writer who is famous for being the main mind behind the popular web series RWBY,
currently produced by Rooster Teeth.
The trailer would feature some clips of Monty Oum, whom the documentary is
about, possibly setto a song from the web series RWBY (which he was chiefly
responsiblefor creating),and it would end with a titlecard for the documentary film
(the filmwould either be titled ‘Indomitable’,named after one of Monty Oum’s
quotes about the human spiritbeing‘indomitable’,or ‘Forward’, named after
Monty’s personal mantra of ‘Keep moving forward’), and a rough releasedate for
the film(that release date being in the ballpark of late2019 or early 2020).
If possible,I would use the song titled ‘Indomitable’ which features on the RWBY
Volume 6 soundtrack,as that songis said to be inspired by Monty’s quote about the
human spirit.
As well as that, I would possibly createsome posters for this hypothetical film(most
likely either two or three). One idea I have for a poster for the ‘Indomitable’ movie is
one that features the face of Monty Oum on one side(splitin half down the middle,
similar to a poster for the movie Bohemian Rhapsody) and the face of Ruby Rose,
the main character of RWBY, the series Monty Oum created, on the other, also split
down the middle, oppositeof Monty’s face.

Bohemian Rhapsody poster. This poster shows half of Freddie Mercury’s face(or, to
be more accurate,the face of Rami Malek, who plays FreddieMercury in Bohemian
Rhapsody),splitdown the middle, exactly how I want Monty Oum’s face to look in
my ‘Indomitable’movie poster.

2. This is a basic,rough idea of what one of the posters for my ‘Indomitable’
documentary movie could look like.The poster features Monty Oum, the creator of
RWBY, and Ruby Rose, the main character in RWBY, sideby sideon the poster. The
poster also features a part of Monty’s famous quote about the human spiritbeing
‘indomitable’(the end of it, to be exact), and the hypothetical releasedate for the
movie.
I chose to make the colouringof the release year text the way itwas becausethe
four letters of RWBY stand for a specific colour:Red, White, Black and Yellow. The
text for the release year of the movie has a red border, and the text talkingabout
the releaseyear has a colour pattern of white, black and yellow, matchingthis four-
colour theme.

Something that I would potentially do is do a voiceover for the trailer in an imitation
of Monty Oum’s voice, with that voiceover either being the stereotypical things that
get said in a voiceover for a filmtrailer (such as “This year”or “Coming soon”, etc, or
a famous quote that Monty said,such as the quote about the human spirit,
mentioned).
What are yourinspirations
for yourproject?
My main inspirationsfor this FMP arefilms that are based (or directly about) real life
events, or about real-lifepeople.The three main examples of this are‘Dunkirk’, a
2017 war filmbased on the Dunkirk evacuations of World War 2 directed by
Christopher Nolan,‘Downfall’(or ‘Der Untergang’), a 2004 war drama depictingthe
final days of Adolf Hitler (played by Bruno Ganz), and ‘Bohemian Rhapsody’, a 2018
biopic aboutthe lifeof Queen frontman Freddie Mercury (played by Rami Malek)
from when he joined the band in 1970 to their famous Live Aid performance in 1985
(which was voted the greatest liveperformance in the history of music).
