4. This school year 2020-2021 brought a lot of changes. One of the major changes in
the country is the new set-up in education. For this, DepEd introduced the LDM
Course. This course provides knowledge to deliver education to learners in this new
normal setting by using Self-Learning Modules.
Teachers reached this far and were able to cope up with the challenges and
demands they are facing in this distance learning situation because of the learning
they gained in LDM Course.
This Practicum Portfolio contains MOV’s that we have used in this school year in
delivering our lessons despite of this pandemic. It contains various artifacts like
WHLP, ILMP, Worksheets, LAS, certificates and even the conversation made with the
parents and learners.

Each learner has his/her own unique style of learning as well as needs, strengths, and
interests. Individual Learning Monitoring Plan is an appropriate tool to keep track of the
learner’s status and progress in order for me as a teacher to decide on what specific
interventions to be applied.

ANNOTATION:
The pandemic has brought many challenges in the teaching and learning process. One of which is the
comprehension of the students regarding the lesson. Although the new curriculum guide was
compressed into the new MELC, chances are there are still hindrances in the student’s learning,
especially when it comes to their comprehension skills. It is indeed important to develop critical and
creative thinking through the art of questioning to activate their HOTS.

To reflect, LDM Course 2 is a breakthrough in our educational system since we are given a
clear path in our target goals in teaching and learning. It makes our tasks as teachers more
organized and attainable because we are guided accordingly. Thus, our burdens are lessen.
Learning Delivery Modalities Course is an innovative way of assessing our
performance as educators. It helps us be aware of our areas for improvement, in
that way, we will have a broader perspective on how we will enhance and hone
our skills and how we will establish linkages in order for us grow professionally.
LDM has taught me to keep track of my students’ progress and development and
find means and ways to encourage learners and parents to engage in the
educative process. In that way, excellence in teaching and learning is reachable,
and we can all produce successful individuals in the future.

Facebook messenger is one of the easiest tools to access communication with my
students. I created a group chat where students are free to ask any questions regarding
the lessons. They can also leave a text message if they have no messenger. This way, it
would be easier for them raise their concerns and I can answer it right away.

I make use of the time every week for the distribution and retrieval of modules to talk to
the parents about any concerns regarding their children, this is done by observing the
standard health protocols. It’s good to establish a rapport with the parents because it has
a significant impact in the students’ progress and development.

Having an open communication with the parents is essential in the teaching and learning
process. I encourage them to listen to RBI and watch TVI to further understand the lessons
in the modules/LAS. I give my parents some techniques on how they can assist their
children at home and whenever they have queries, I respond to them instantly.
