A group of 15 students will be taking a trip in July 2015 to give their help in supporting students who attend Lords Meade School in Uganda which is linked to Wolverhampton Grammar School. The group will be involved in teaching subjects close to their hearts and experiencing life within the local community, visiting hospitals and helping out at the nursery there. To help raise further funds for Lords Meade School, I am organising the “Jinja Concert” on Saturday 9th May at 7pm in Big School. The school has developed an excellent relationship with the Community School in Jinja, Uganda and I want to help support this partnership by raising some additional funds. The concert on Saturday 9th May will include various guest artists from the local community including soloists, poetry, dance, choirs etc. Some students from our school will also be involved. Tickets for this concert are now available from school main reception and cost just £5. Light refreshments will also be on sale during the concert. Miranda Roberts (Lower Sixth) will be singing.
