FILL YOUR BUCKET LIST FOUNDATION HOSTS COOK-OFF AT ANNUAL GALA
MORRISVILLE, N.C. – On Saturday, April 23, 2016, Fill Your Bucket List Foundation
will hold the 2nd
Annual Bucket Bash at The Chef’s Academy in Morrisville, North Carolina to
raise money to grant wishes to adults with cancer. Fill Your Bucket List Foundation is a
nonprofit based in Cary, North Carolina, that grants wishes to low income adults with cancer
from all over the U.S. The fundraising goal for the Bucket Bash is $100,000.
WHAT: An evening of great food, dancing, a silent auction and a cook-off between
very talented chefs. Tickets are $75 per person and all proceeds go toward
funding a wish for a cancer patient.
WHO: Mitch Samples, chef instructor and purchasing manager at The Chef’s
Academy; Eddie Wilson, executive chef at North Carolina State
University’s Talley Student Union; Eric Gephart, chief culinary officer at
Kamado Grille; and Ron Salerno, food and beverage director at Concord
Hospitality Enterprises.
WHEN: The charity event will take place Saturday, April 23, 2016, from 6-10 p.m.

6 p.m. Check-in; silent auction opens
6:30 p.m. Buffet begins; cook-off begins in The Chef’s Academy
8 p.m. Thanks and presentation of past wish recipients; “raise your
paddle” bidding

This media advisory was used in my previous internship with Fill Your Bucket List Foundation, a nonprofit that sends
adults with cancer on “bucket list” trips. The media advisory was distributed to local news stations as well as food
critics to increase awareness about the fundraising event.

WHERE: The Chef’s Academy Campus is located at 2001 Carrington Mill Blvd.,
Morrisville, North Carolina. Valet parking will be available in the rear of
the building.
DETAILS: Photography is permitted at the gala. Photo opportunities will be available
