  1. I might suggest bullets under each heading to make it easy to read. Also, you could add examples of countries under “student recruitment” like Brazil which is a hot market right now. Show that you know the trends of where the students are!

  3. I think most of us here present today, as myself, attended University in the time of faxes, desktops (possibly type-writers?), printed brochures and not of social media, smartphones and tablets.. Our current students don´t even know what this is (show Iphone case) 

I suspect you all are aware of these changes and research backs this up: students are massively online, e.g. FB reaching 1.2 billion people, 70% of all SM users is outside US, they spend more time in social media than watching TV and most important >60% bases their decision where to study from Social media. Topics most discussed in SM are Sports and Education.. Basically if you aren´t where today´s students are, you are losing out.
  5. (Read through above), and the benefit of this webinar is that you might be eating a donut while listening to me!  Ok so let´s move from Donuts to Student Recruitment, what can Social media be used and what are the main goals Universities use it for (next slide)
  6. Since most of you present today are Admissions or Student Recruitment Managers, you are likely involved in a lot of the above tasks. Basically many Universities are familiar with Social media for engaging Alumni, perhaps through a Linkedin group, as well as using Social media to increase Awareness and engage with current students (through FB, YouTube or internal communities). However a lot of Universities are not, yet, very involved in using Social media to engage with prospective students, getting more info on them as well as recruit them. This is the next level of engagement and I think you agree, the most rewarding. So how do we start and basically move from conversations to conversions? (next slide)
  7. For many professionals involved in Student Recruitment it´s difficult to know where to start, in this fast changing world of Social media, with new ones popping up every day.. For example how many of you know Pinterest is the fastest growing social network? Not only using the right medium but also the right content is of critical importance to move the conversations to conversions..
  8. Branded content is key to a succesful Marketing mix and needed to move to a valuable result. Not only is it essential, it also is a lot of work as the content needs to be updated frequently, be of value to the audience and engaging. We have for example a team of Marketing who works daily in our Facebook and Blog to provide students with useful information, entertaining them with posts or surveys. We get direct feedback from our readers and not only get them more engaged but also increase our following with 100s of people everyday.
  9. Ok so I´ll explain you in a bit more detail how we combine Social media with other tactics. Basicaly Web2Present targets your audience through Webinars by recruiting and qualifying participants through the combination of Social Media, SEO, discussion groups and Email marketing. Whereby the Webinar-platform is the delivery method, which increases your reach, actual leads are generated through our targeted promotions.
  10. Ok so why webinars? As you are experiencing right now yourself, the benefits are obvious.. Not only can you sit back, relax and have a coffee (with or witouth a donut) while listening to this, it allows for both parties to save money on travel-cost, yet being interactive and getting direct feedback and data. Also the webinar can be recorded, as we are doing now, as not all people registered could join and it can be shared afterwards to spread the word.
  11. Ok, so now that we understand the benefits of Social media and Webinars, we can see it´s ideal for targeting students wherever they are. This map shows the various different social networks around the world. We might be familiar with Facebook and Linkedin, but did you know lots of students in both Brazil and India check Orkut? Or potential master/ MBA students in Germany are on Xing? Or Chinese, due to their mainly Facebook restrictions, are on Ren-ren or Qzone (>500 million)? Well, we at Web2Present are active on most of these and moreover have Partnerships in some main areas where our promotions are more challenging (India, China and US).
  12. So this slide explains to you how our process works when we team up with Universities to recruit students for their programs. First we schedule in a Discovery meeting, online, basically like this, to discuss the specific program requirements and target-audience. Then once we both agree it´s feasible, we research where this target-audience is online, increase their following, before we start our targeted promotions. The total time is about 6-8 weeks prior to the live Webinar. We always also do a Dry-run to ensure all is clear and the presenters are comfortable. In the dry-run Web2Present ensures everybody can connect fine (audio/ video) and takes care as Master of Ceremony in the Q&A section. This is the most important part by the way, as students get their last doubts taken care of before they appply. After the live Webinar we do a post-review to discuss how it went and especially provide the results and recording.
  13. As mentioned the starting-point is the Discovery meeting, which is a critical point for both sides to ensure we target the right audience and determine if feasible.. We cannot recruit for all study programs, and we will inform so since we guarantee a minimum quantity and quality. Once clearly identifies we start the promotions..
