5 Tips for Effectively Marketing
   Your Biz Using LinkedIN
Technically LinkedIN is a social network. It's somewhat like
Facebook allowing you to connect, develop relationships
And communicate with friends and business associates you
develop.
LinkedIN is also the top professional business network.
Where you are encouraged to market your business freely.
To successfully market your biz, through LinkedIN, you
would begin sharing valuable info with other members.
Here’s 5 Tips for marketing and branding your biz.
LinkedIN Provides a Variety of Ways to
     Market/Brand Your Biz Free.

1.   Find an article, resource or related info to share on LinkedIN’s
     RSS feed. Copy the info. Then -

     a) Log into your account.
     b) Click the ‘Home’ button at the top of your profile page.
     c) Under ‘Home’, click on ‘LinkedIN Home’.
     d) Your photo and a box will show in top left corner. Use your
        mouse to click a spot within the box. This opens the box.
        Allowing you to ‘Paste’ your info into it. Lastly click “Share”.

     If you’re providing a link to an article – a) type a short comment/
     blurb into the Share Box to introduce the article. b) Click “Attach a
     Link”. And ‘paste’ the article link in. c) Last - click “Share”.
Join Group Discussions and Comment.
 2. Joining Groups is great for a variety of reasons. Plus great free PR.
    Each time you post, your comment is published to the RSS feed.
    * You connect with people in your skills and biz area. Learn more.
    * When you ‘Comment’ you:
     a) Show your expertise.
     b) Regularly comment & you show yourself as an expert.
     c) Potential clients & customers can easily find and hire you.
     d) Other biz owners can find and suggest Joint Ventures.
    Find suitable groups by clicking on the “People” box located by the
    Search Box top right on Profile Page. Scroll down box, click on
    “Groups”. Then type in a group name. Search. Join/Apply.

    Not sure which to join - Click the “Groups” button (top left on Profile
    Page). Click “Groups you may like” or “Groups Directory”. Join.
Answer Questions.

3. Answering Questions is another great way to market your business.

To find Questions Asked, Click on the “More” button (top ri. Profile Pg).

•   Scroll down. Click “Answers”.
•   Find questions in your area of expertise.
•   Or - Browse categories to find questions.
•   Either answer questions or provide links and connections
    By providing the best answers to questions, you earn expertise.
    Experts are featured on the Answers home page, and in each
    category of questions. Plus providing valuable answers, encourages
    individuals you’ve helped, to contact and hire you.
Add the LinkedIN “Share” Widget to
        your Website and Blog.
4. Promote Yourself and Your Biz – create added visibility - by allowing
   others to share site and blog info using the “Share Widget”.
   There are a variety of widgets/badges to choose from. Everything
   from Word Press and TypePad Blogs. To the more customized.
   Customize the html code LinkedIN provides to make your share
   button provide a better description of you, your biz and skills. Give
   you more visibility. These Widgets can be added to both website
   and blog post pages.
   When you reach the link page listed below, simply Copy the code
   provided. And Paste it into the area on your site/blog allowed for
   adding html code.

Customize Your LinkedIN URL

5. Change your LinkedIN URL, which connects visitors to your page, to
  better reflect your skills or business.

  The “Edit your URL” link is found directly under the “Improve Your
  profile Box” and above the “Summary”.

  Click on “Edit”. Then change your URL to give a more unique
  description of your expertise. For example –

   http://linkedin.com/in/johnsmithappsdesigner

  Add your LinkedIn URL to a - Website, Blog, Facebook page,
  Twitter, your Biz card. For example.
