This slide share presentation lists down 5 of the best diving spots in the island of Tobago. The presentation starts with little information on the waters of Tobago and moves one to the 5 popular diving spots in the island.
Along with the names of the diving spots, there is a small image of the location as well. In the presentation I have also mentioned the depth of each diving location along with type of marine life you are most likely to come across at that location.
There are 2 slides which will give you information on safety guidelines. I have also included a Dive Site Map of Tobago.

3. Popular Diving Sites in
Tobago
Cove Reef, Depth:10-27m
• Cove Reef mainly consists of sponges
and hard corals.
• The reef flat starts in 10 meters and is
sloping gently down to 25 meters
• Dwellers of Cove Reef - Lobster, Moray Eel, Nurse Shark,
Grouper, Trumpet Fish, Rays, Trunk and Trigger Fish,
Turtles, Barracudas.

4. Flying Reef, Depth:10-16m
•Flying Reef is one of the most popular
reefs in Tobago.
• It is suitable for beginners and advanced divers.
• A forest of soft corals and enormous sponges dominate
the underwater scenery
• Dwellers of Flying Reef - Triggerfish, Stingrays, Moray eels,
Rainbow Parrotfish, Angelfish, Butterfly Fish, Porcupine
Fish, Turtles and much more.

5. Divers Thirst, Depth:16-30m
• Located between Flying Reef and
Divers Dream which leaves it exposed
to strong currents, but one can easily
avoid it by diving just under the ledge
of the reef.
• Dwellers of Divers Thirst - Big nurse
sharks, barracudas, Stingray. An
encounter with other big reef dwellers
such as bull sharks or tiger sharks are
possible.

6. Divers Dream, Depth:15-20m
•Divers Dream is a plateau, roughly 5
km offshore.
• The top of the reef is as shallow as 6
m and slopes down to a depth of
25m.
• Dwellers of Divers Dream -
Barracudas, Snappers, Giant
Parrotfish, Triggerfish, Nurse Sharks,
Eagle Rays, Reef Sharks.

7. Mount Irvine Extension,
Depth:10-25m
• Mt. Irvine Extension starts off with
huge coral boulders at a depth of
around 8 meters.
• After few minutes the scenery turns
into a massive coral reef.
• Dwellers of Mount Irvine Extension-
Lobster, Giant Crab, Octopus, Scorpion
Fish. In the blue water above the reef
you might see Tarpons, Groupers and
Eagle rays.

8. Scuba Diving Guide:
Divers must follow safety guidelines. Your dive must
follow the given safety standards:
• Instructor on staff full time.
• Oxygen, first aid kits and radios on board dive boats.
• Safety sausages provided for all divers.
• All dives must be escorted by a Dive Guide.
• Surface Markers must be carried by Dive Guides.

9. Decompression sickness
from diving
•Divers are advised to monitor their bottom time and
depth and observe safe diving practices.
• Decompression sickness from diving - For the treatment
of decompression sickness from diving visit the
Roxborough Hyperbaric Facility which is approximately 20
minutes drive from Speyside (northeast) and 40 minutes
drive from Scarborough (southwest).
