3. WhatsApp has became the largest massaging platform all around the world.

WhatsApp Inc. was founded in 2009 by Jan Koum and Brian Acton, who was the
former employees at Yahoo Inc.
WhatsApp was initially started for Android mobile devices and soon come over the
Windows, iOS, Blackberry OS.
It is processing more than 30 billion messages everyday.
This made Facebook-The largest social networking website to purchase this
application at a handsome price of US $19 billion on 19th February, 2014. Will
generate a good business.
4. WhatsApp server is implemented on erlang
Erlang is a programming language used to build massively scalable soft real-time
systems with requirements on high availability. Some of its uses are in telecoms,
banking, e-commerce, computer telephony and instant messaging.

It gives the status of the message easily using grey and blue ticks (single tick for sent
and double tick for delivered, grey is for delivered and blue is to show that the message
is read by the person).
Send contacts very easily and can be saved as well as with just two steps
send audio and video messages size up to (approximately) 16Mb
send document files up to 100Mb (like PDFs, documents, spreadsheets, slideshows and

send your location accurately and can be used instantly for starting the trip using google

10. Size limit of the group is <= 256 persons currently ( may be changed in future )
In a group only the Group-Admin can add the persons / give admin title to other persons in
the group and all the 256 can be the group admins.
While changing to a new device using the same number, the existing chat stored in the old
device cannot be retrieved in this new device(in case of not having chat backup).
Constant/Unwanted Messages like images and videos may eat all the space in the device. (can
be rectified by changing way of downloading images/videos/documents automatically or
manually using the download preference option)
It uses data as its fuel and will not work without data (offline) like MMS and Text Messaging
system

You can easily send enough unlimited messages to your WhatsApp friends.
This could have been even better, if the app would have provided you with the
facility to send unlimited messages through out the country or world for free to any
number.
