• During spring and summer, a small-scale study was
conducted at the Duvereds Lantbruk farm, involving the X-
Zelit product and its influence on the occurrence of milk fever
• A total of 21 cows were given X-Zelit in their feed for a
number (10-20) of days prior to calving, and the results were
subsequently compared with the 21 cows that calved earlier
and that consequently did not receive X-Zelit. All first-calvers
were excluded.

* This was a sixth-calver that appeared paretic after calving but had left displaced abosum with diarrhoea
until calving. She recuperated afterwards.
*** Including two twin-calving cows that only were given X-Zelit for 5 and 8 days, respectively, due to their
slightly shorter pregnancy.
**** A cow suspected of ’doing the splits’. The cow recovered.
