The baobabs represent negative influences or problems that start small but can grow out of control if left unchecked. They are described as dangerous, disastrous, and something that risks destroying a planet if not dealt with. The document suggests the baobabs may symbolize things like closing one's mind or becoming too rigid in thought as we age. It emphasizes the importance of maintaining imagination and being vigilant about identifying and removing baobabs before they take root and spread.

8. The baobab seeds could symbolize the people, and the matured baobab
plants could symbolize war. As in the book, the author explains that the
baobab seeds are hard to identify from the good seeds. In real life, it
could represent a person’s life. It is hard to see which people are good
and which people are bad. In the book, the little prince says that as soon
as it is identified, you must pull it out. Like in real life, we must judge
for ourselves which people are good and bad. If we are not able to
identify and pull out the bad seeds, the baobab seeds will mature and
destroy the planet. The mature baobab seeds could represent wars,
fights that destruct people and destroy their homes and lives. So, the
planet could represent the people’s lives and homes that sometimes is
destroyed by “bad seeds.”
9. 1. The baobabs are like the seeds of unknown potential or danger.
(Problems/Conflicts) The lazy man represents adults with limitations to
their thoughts and imagination; therefore the baobabs overtake them and
infest them. And afterward it is impossible to get rid of like a habit or
personality disorder that can’t be solved or fixed because it has simply been
rooted to deep. That means that the baobabs are like the negative things in
the depth of the mind. Children have imagination and have creativity,
unlimited thoughts (good seeds) and when their mind starts to close and
they are more close-minded that is like the baobabs. Finally when their
minds are constricted, that’s like the baobabs infesting a planet and
causing the planet (youth, innocence, creativity, imagination) to explode.
He conveys that the sense of urgency is strong. The author who was unable
to see through the crate had sprouts of baobabs and the prince had none.
Thus, it is important to get rid of baobabs and always be on lookout, like
being careful not to be close-minded. Also, the baobabs might represent
obstacles in our everyday lives that if unchecked, can destroy people
(explode the planet).
