IV. PROCEDURES
A. Reviewing previous
lesson or presenting
the new lesson
 How do you use Facebook as a
tool or medium for
communication?
 How did Facebook affect or
change the way we communicate
with other people?

Say:
Since we have already
know the idea of MEDIA,
INFORMATION
LITERACY, now let us
apply it by creating our own
art which is poster. We will
use SMART PHONE APP
downloaded from your
Mobile Phone. But let us
first know the DESIGN
ELEMENTS AND
PRINCIPLES before we
start. It is important to
know those.
Ask: What are the DESIGN
ELEMENTS?
B. Establishing a purpose
for the lesson
• Discuss the components of
MIL
• Explain the meaning of MIL
and the idea of communicating
for understanding
.
Present the meaning of:
Preference
Habit Lifestyle
Discuss the following:
1. TYPOGRAPHY
2. LINE
3. SCALE
4. COLOR
5. REPETITION
Show your output to your

new skills
Say:
Empowerment of people through Media and Information
Literacy (MIL) is an important prerequisite for fostering
equitable access to information and knowledge and
promoting free, independent and pluralistic media and
information systems.
Media and Information Literacy recognizes the primary role
of information and media in our everyday lives. It lies at the
core of freedom of expression and information - since it
empowers citizens to understand the functions of media
and other information providers, to critically evaluate their
content, and to make informed decisions as users and
producer of information and media content.
Information Literacy and Media Literacy are traditionally
seen as separate and distinct fields. UNESCO’s strategy
brings together these two fields as a combined set of
competencies (knowledge, skills and attitude) necessary
Poster Analysis: Ask the groups:
• What is the message of
this poster?
• Do you agree with the
message? Why or why
not?
Group 1- Poster 1
Group 2- Poster 2
Performance Task 2
OBJECTIVES

poster which will
influence high

be a responsible
user and
competent
producer of media
information
Ask :
- What can you say to their
output and explanation?
- Did they follow the
elements and designs?
