Products (CAMCTP)
DIRECTIVE
To formalize a comprehensive stakeholder network from community to career
to support bio-economic growth and workforce development in the area of
biomanufacturing for cell & tissue-based products.
21. • Institution of Origin: Madison Area Technical College
• Prior Support: $5M in NSF Advanced Technological Education grant
awards to develop Career Technical Education (CTE) programming in
Biotechnology.
• Merit: Madison College was first in the nation to start CTE programming in
Biotech, CTE programming in Stem Cells, and seeks to pioneer CTE
programming in cell manufacturing.
• Strategic Plan: Multi-year initiative to map the ecosystem and create a
community-to-career pathway for technical education in biomanufacturing.
• Broader Impact: Over 200 Regional and National Partnerships, including:
Consortium for Advanced Manufacturing of Cell & Tissue-based
Products (CAMCTP)
