Two of the most prominent are: Gabriel Kreuther Executive Chef, The Modern - NYC Gabriel Kreuther attended culinary school at École Hôtelière in Strasbourg and was named “Best Kitchen Apprentice in France.” After being sous chef for renowned Chef Franz Keller, he arrived in New York in 1997. After several months as sous chef at La Caravelle, he became Chef de Cuisine at Restaurant Jean-Georges until his 2002 appointment as Executive Chef at Atelier in The Ritz-Carlton New York, Central Park. One of Food & Wine Magazine’s prestigious “America’s Best New Chefs” in 2003, Gabriel won the James Beard Foundation Award for “Best Chef: New York City” in 2009. EU 5/31 Karen Nicolas, Executive Chef - Equinox, Washington DC Karen Nicolas, executive chef at Todd Gray's Equinox—one of only a handful of lucky toques to be named among Food & Wine magazine's 2012 Best New Chefs in America. - Kluane is a vast and rugged wilderness – it encompasses more than 10 million acres and includes 5 of North America’s 7 tallest peaks, including Mt. Logan which is just a few hundred feet shy of Mt. McKinley. Until recently Kluane has not been accessible to visitors, even though the Alaska Highway runs along its border. Over the past few years, Holland America has developed extensive partnerships with local guides and tour operators to create authentic wilderness experiences in and around the park. Kluane is accessible from Whitehorse, the capital of the Yukon. Tours within the Yukon are perfect for your clients who want an un-crowded wilderness experience.
