Holi
It was reported that the Physics Lawn erupted in
colour, screams and flying waterbombs on the 14th
March as Vishwaas celebrated Holi, the festival of
colours. Passersby were shocked to see participants
drenched and covered in "profuse quantities" of
multicoloured dye. It is estimated that between
twenty and thirty Vishwaas members took part.
HangCircle
The first two HangCircle events of the year have
had an impressive turnout! The last two topics for
discussion were "Which aspects of Australian and
Indian culture do you think are worth keeping?" and
the second topic looked to the epic Mahabharat to
seek guidance about keeping your word when it
conflicts with other promises you’ve made.
If you haven't had a chance to come, you don't know what you're missing out on! And
remember, our weekly Hang Circle meetings alternate between Wednesdays and Thursdays, 2-
3pm, to let people with full timetables join in at least half the time :) The easiest way to get the
date right is to check our Hang Circle event on Facebook.
Bollywood Dance Workshop
On Tuesday 27th March, we held our second Bollywood
Dance Workshop for the year. Participants bust their
best bhangra moves to the hit song Mast Kalander for
the hour-long workshop. By the end, everyone was
exhausted from the highly energetic dance form, but it
was definitely worth it as they put up an outstanding
final product! Be sure to check out their final efforts by
clicking here. Upcoming Events
We’re going to be holding an inter-Vishwaas cricket competition soon, so watch this space
for further details!
