Project PABLO is a modern home in Southern California designed for sustainability. It uses only local and native resources in its construction, including black walnut wood, white marble, and sandstone. Water is collected through rain barrels and purified with UV lights before storage. Energy is captured through solar windows and stored in Tesla Powerwalls, and the home is cooled by its white marble siding and heated through passive solar. The home aims to reduce its environmental impact through its sustainable materials, water and energy systems, and donations from tours to an environmental nonprofit.

By using both environmentally friendly resources that are from local sources along with environmentally friendly technologies Project PABLO fits into the environment around it and leaves it at peace. By using these resources in the construction of the house PABLO’s occupants also are left having the sensation that they are one with nature.
On the outside Southern California Black Walnut wood that is native to that area can be seen on some exterior panels of the home.
White marble was also used that was mined in the state of california and sold to us by the San Diego Desert Marble Company in San Diego County.
Sandstone that was mined in a nearby desert in California was used in some accent pieces, the stone was purchased in San Ramon, Ca at California Marble and Stone.
