We took on a problem of helping ICANN labs do a better job helping people understand what they do. This was a 5 hour hackathon. This is the resulting presentation. It was also supported by a working prototype.

2. ICANN wants to
increased and broaden participation
with people across the globe.

3. Barriers to Participation.
> Understanding what ICANN is.
> Understanding why what ICANN does is important.
> Understanding how ICANN policies could and does effect you
or the communities you care about.

4. Given the barriers mentioned above it would be nice if people could
quickly gain an understanding of these terms when they see them.
Most discussions include terms like these.

GCOT
An abbreviation for the GNSO OSC Constituency & Stakeholder Group Operations Team.
It is also known as the GNSO Council Operations Work Team. It was established by the
GNSO Operations Steering Committee (OSC) to identify areas that need to be reviewed in
order to best seat the new Council, and to provide recommendations to update areas and
submit them to the OSC for reviewing and feedback. [1]

2. Ask the reader if this is correct, makes sense or resonates with them.
3. Provide an immediate input mechanism to correct, contribute and expand on the definition.
4. Provide this culturally relevant user generated content along side the official definition for
everyone to see.

Robust understanding and a step towards active participation.
