Introduction
 What is Spray Painting ?
Spray painting is
a painting technique where a
device sprays a coating
(paint, ink, varnish, etc.)
through the air onto a
surface. The most common
types employ compressed
gas usually air to atomize
and direct the paint particles.
 What Is Robotic Spray
Painting?
Robotic Spray Painting Is The
Process in Which Spray Painting is done
by Robots or Robotic Arm to reduce the
human effort and to increase accuracy.
Widely, Robotic Spray Painting is used
in industries such as Automobile
Industries, Fabrication Industries, Pipe
Industries, etc.


 About Our Robotic Spray Painter
Generally Robotic Spray Painters have finite distance
in axis, but we have modified this to infinite distance in
axis, through which it can paint long surfaces and large
objects.
Our Robotic Spray Painter can move from one place to
another very easily as we have provided 4 – wheel
drive mechanism.
Our Robot has zero turning radius.
Our Entire Robot Can be Controlled Through a 12ch
Remote Control System, through which it can be
accessed easily.




Why We have Selected This Project
• As there is a large scope of spray painting in now a days
and coming future.
• Robotic Spray Painters can be used for indoor and
outdoor painting.
• Industrial Robotic Spray Painters are used to increase the
efficiency and accuracy.
• There is a major dis-advantage of Industrial spray
painters, that their arms can be extended upto a finite
distance in axis , which we tried to remove in our project by

Working Principle
 What is working principle of Spray Painting ?
This process occurs when paint is applied to an object through the use of an air-
pressurized spray gun. The air gun has a nozzle, paint basin, and air compressor. When
the trigger is pressed the paint mixes with the compressed air stream and is released in
a fine spray.
 Working principle of Robotic Spray Painting ?
In Robotic Spray Painting Above Process is done using robotic arm, through which good
accuracy is obtained and it is fully automatic process

Working ( mechanisms )
 Our robot can spray paint in 4 Axis.
 For x & y Axis it has 4-Wheel drive mechanism, which have no limit of distance like
usual industrial spray painters.
 For z Axis it have Robotic arms, which can spray paint upto 2 metres of height.
 Our robot also have a Rotary table, which can rotate its arms.
 Our Robot consist in-built air compressor for spray Painting. (32,000 R. P. M. Motor)
 Spray Paint Gun can paint horizontally, vertically & continuously at a point.
 Our robot is controlled wirelessly through 12 channel R. F. controller.
Applications
Spray Painting Methods are used almost everywhere.
Paint is applied such as :
 Interiors and Exteriors of residential , commercial,
industrial and farm buildings.
 Industrial and security walls.
 Refinishing Projects
 Manufacturing
 Graffiti
Painting Is Particularly economical for rough and irregular
surfaces such as structural steel, metal decking, and
concrete products .
Advantages
1) Our Robotic Spray Painter has infinite Axis, as
it can be used for painting long surfaces and
large objects.
2) It can be controlled through Remote.
3) It gives high accuracy.
4) It can be used for domestic use also.
5) Robotic Spray Painting Is a speedy painting
process.
6) It gives a good accessibility.
7) It Paints evenly on the surface
Future Expansion
 As our robot works on the principle of robotic arm, by replacing
its spray gun with electromagnet it can also be used as robotic
arm to lift objects and transfer it to other place.
 By adding battery in robot, the requirement of A.C. supply can
be avoided.
 By adding micro-processor robot can also be programmed to
paint specific object or area automatically.
 Our robot can also be customized for electrostatic spray
painting.
Future Work
• Current Status
Currently, we have gathered 80% of parts required to complete our project.
• Work to be done
Gathering other required parts and assembling the Robotic Spray Painter
To complete all the electrical wiring of the project along with setting up R.F.
controller with the Robot.

  • 4. Introduction  What is Spray Painting ? Spray painting is a painting technique where a device sprays a coating (paint, ink, varnish, etc.) through the air onto a surface. The most common types employ compressed gas usually air to atomize and direct the paint particles.
  • 5.  What Is Robotic Spray Painting? Robotic Spray Painting Is The Process in Which Spray Painting is done by Robots or Robotic Arm to reduce the human effort and to increase accuracy. Widely, Robotic Spray Painting is used in industries such as Automobile Industries, Fabrication Industries, Pipe Industries, etc.  
  • 6.  About Our Robotic Spray Painter Generally Robotic Spray Painters have finite distance in axis, but we have modified this to infinite distance in axis, through which it can paint long surfaces and large objects. Our Robotic Spray Painter can move from one place to another very easily as we have provided 4 – wheel drive mechanism. Our Robot has zero turning radius. Our Entire Robot Can be Controlled Through a 12ch Remote Control System, through which it can be accessed easily.    

Why We have Selected This Project • As there is a large scope of spray painting in now a days and coming future. • Robotic Spray Painters can be used for indoor and outdoor painting. • Industrial Robotic Spray Painters are used to increase the efficiency and accuracy. • There is a major dis-advantage of Industrial spray painters, that their arms can be extended upto a finite distance in axis , which we tried to remove in our project by Making a robot to move upto infinite distance.

  • 14. Working Principle  What is working principle of Spray Painting ? This process occurs when paint is applied to an object through the use of an air- pressurized spray gun. The air gun has a nozzle, paint basin, and air compressor. When the trigger is pressed the paint mixes with the compressed air stream and is released in a fine spray.  Working principle of Robotic Spray Painting ? In Robotic Spray Painting Above Process is done using robotic arm, through which good accuracy is obtained and it is fully automatic process

Working ( mechanisms )  Our robot can spray paint in 4 Axis.  For x & y Axis it has 4-Wheel drive mechanism, which have no limit of distance like usual industrial spray painters.  For z Axis it have Robotic arms, which can spray paint upto 2 metres of height.  Our robot also have a Rotary table, which can rotate its arms.  Our Robot consist in-built air compressor for spray Painting. (32,000 R. P. M. Motor)  Spray Paint Gun can paint horizontally, vertically & continuously at a point.  Our robot is controlled wirelessly through 12 channel R. F. controller.
  • 17. Applications Spray Painting Methods are used almost everywhere. Paint is applied such as :  Interiors and Exteriors of residential , commercial, industrial and farm buildings.  Industrial and security walls.  Refinishing Projects  Manufacturing  Graffiti Painting Is Particularly economical for rough and irregular surfaces such as structural steel, metal decking, and concrete products .

Advantages 1) Our Robotic Spray Painter has infinite Axis, as it can be used for painting long surfaces and large objects. 2) It can be controlled through Remote. 3) It gives high accuracy. 4) It can be used for domestic use also. 5) Robotic Spray Painting Is a speedy painting process. 6) It gives a good accessibility. 7) It Paints evenly on the surface

Future Expansion  As our robot works on the principle of robotic arm, by replacing its spray gun with electromagnet it can also be used as robotic arm to lift objects and transfer it to other place.  By adding battery in robot, the requirement of A.C. supply can be avoided.  By adding micro-processor robot can also be programmed to paint specific object or area automatically.  Our robot can also be customized for electrostatic spray painting.

Future Work • Current Status Currently, we have gathered 80% of parts required to complete our project. • Work to be done Gathering other required parts and assembling the Robotic Spray Painter To complete all the electrical wiring of the project along with setting up R.F. controller with the Robot.
