Scope of report
The report provides a sector overview of companies that develops robots that can be bought directly by consumers and help
them in various tasks.
The tasks can be social interaction, entertainment (intelligent toys, sports accessories), productivity enhancement,
communication, mobility (such as exoskeletons), household chores (cleaning, lawn mowing, cooking, brewing etc.) and learning.
The feed also includes companies which develop software(robot intelligence, navigation software etc.) or hardware modules
(sensors, actuators etc.) specifically for consumer robots.
The report excludes physical Robots which are aimed at industries (manufacturing, warehouse automation etc.). Drones, 3D
Printers etc. are robots, but they are excluded, so are smart cars (robots for transportation). Generic consumer goods which
provide automation are also excluded such as Washing Machines, Dishwashers etc.
