In order to make sure that you get back clear respondent answers please take into consideration the following:The wording style, type, and question sequence Make sure the survey sounds interesting and notice the survey length or how long it takes to answer the entire surveySurvey designer should consider making and taking the survey they’ve created from the point of view of the least educated/or typical respondent to keep design elements and questions simple and easy to follow so that designer will get the desired outcomes.
Be Brief: Ask only one question at a time otherwise it maybe come confusing to answer and leave respondent choosing the wrong answer(s). **Remember Brevity’s goal is to create the shortest way to ask a question without losing its intent.**Be Objective: Remember to stay neutral and objective when asking question in order to stay unbiased and making assumptions about the survey respondents.**Avoid leading questions or question that might lead a respondent to a particular answer choice by the wording and structure of the question itself or the answer choices. **Be Simple: Only use clear and concise language, keep the wordiness of questions to a minimal at best and use words, phrases, and expressions that will be familiar to every respondent.**Avoid technical jargon, double negatives, words such as “absolutes”, “always”, or “never” as that it may turn some respondents off from answering the question(s).****Do keep the same definition for words or phrases throughout the survey at to not confuse respondents.**Be Specific: Always ask specific questions and never abbreviate words, phrases or expressions and avoid general and unspecific questions; be detailed while staying brief.
